“advanced” fields being hidden by default….

Is there any option to completely hide advanced fields – for some group of users?

example: there is group of users that should not have option to add any cc, or change default assigne to bug.. Is there, clean, way to remove those advanced options for such group of users?

This would greatly improve our experience with Bugzilla…

Do you know or have an article about how to import bugs into Bugzilla 3.x? Use XML on Bugzilla page (http://landfill.bugzilla.org/bugzilla-tip-pg/show_bug.cgi?ctype=xml&id=1) and import it to Bugzilla on another system?

I was doing a “captcha survival guide” on my blog and i come out with some ideas, and when browsing triangle and geometric stuff i found your blog. I “stoled” your geometric image

The Simple display means that the default assignee is always chosen, as it is not displayed, is there any way to add this in?

I would be looking for exactly the same thing right now. Is there a way to add the custom field in the list of fields included in the “simple” bug report?

As Peter said, these fields are custom because they are useful, hence we would be grateful if they were included in the simple report. As it stands right now, pretty much everyone has to use the Advanced form because these fields are important to us…

Whilst I welcome the option to reduce the number of fields, hardware and OS are pretty useless and I want to have some custom fields showing all the time – that’s why they’re custom.

Off now to see if there’s some hack that means custom fields are always shown..

We are planning to customize the bugzilla project specfic. We are using for multiple projects. I want to add One custum filed like Actual fix version for project specfic.
could any body guide me how to do the project specfic custamization.

I think bug 505374 might still be a bug. I sort of agree that the “Reply All” button should reply to all the addresses, but then again, maybe it should use the Reply-To header, as it currently does… There’s certainly room for discussion about what we should be doing in that case.

I also did a little more research into Majordomo, and turned up the link https://cod.sandelman.ca/cgi-bin/mj_wwwusr/domain=lists.sandelman.ca?&user=&passw=&list=GLOBAL&func=help&extra=configset_config_defaults which has another way that you could add the required headers.
